Our luxury lodges sit in the heart of The North York Moors National Park - an area renowned for its stunning moorland landscape, spectacular coastline and ancient woodlands and abbeys.
Nearby Yorkshire Outdoors offers 4x4 off-road adventures, quad biking, and clay pigeon shooting is only a five minutes drive from Studford Lodges.
We are blessed with a maze of bridleways, forest tracks and disused railway lines in the area, ideal for exploring by pedal power. Yorkshire Mountain Biking can guide you around the area - either using your own bike or hiring one of theirs. They also offer Emountain bike hire, power assisted mountain bikes meaning you get all of the fun with less than half the effort!
All their guides are regular road and mountain bike riders and are fully qualified and insured. They offer guided rides at all levels from beginners through to advanced; and for individuals and groups. Or, you can simply hire a bike and explore the area for yourself! Bikes can be delivered to Studford Luxury Lodges and you can preorder a map with lunch and teastop locations identified for you.

There's a great family cycle centre based at the nearby Sutton Bank National Park Centre with a purpose-built skills area and a choice of three trails including a 3-mile family route. Bike hire is available from Sutton Bank Bikes. Keen mountain bikers should check out the world mountain bike championship centre in the Dalby Forest and Newbridge Park Cycle Centre in Pickering. Plenty of excellent routes to enjoy, not far from the Cleveland Way or the infamous 40-mile Lyke Wake Walk, traditionally polished off in under 24 hours! A popular family route close by is a beautiful 7-mile stretch from the picturesque market town of Helmsley (4 miles from the lodges) to the historic Reivaulx Abbey. The walk is ideal for history buffs, woodland wanderers and those in search of big sky views. Find out more on the North York Moors website.

As part of our continuous effort to not let our standards slip and only improve our lodges we have updated our previous music system with a SONOS speaker in all of the lodges, so all you need to to do is simply download the SONOS app and then your away ..........
