Nestled amongst the trees, with sweeping woodland views and an unforgettable sense of escape, our six luxurious lodges provide the perfect countryside retreat for families, friends and couples looking to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature.

Each lodge comfortably accommodates up to six guests and features three spacious super-king bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bathroom. Two bathrooms boast generous walk-in showers, while the third features a shower over bath, offering comfort and convenience throughout your stay.

At the heart of each lodge is a beautifully designed open-plan living space, complete with a dining table for six, comfortable seating and a modern entertainment system. Large doors open seamlessly onto an expansive private decking area, creating the perfect indoor-outdoor living experience.

Outside, you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your stay, including stylish rattan furniture, a large parasol, two sun loungers, a BBQ and a private hot tub for six. Whether you’re enjoying an alfresco meal, soaking in the hot tub beneath the stars or simply taking in the peaceful woodland surroundings, every detail has been designed for relaxation.

For cooler days and cosy evenings, the lodges offer the perfect retreat, with luxurious interiors providing a warm and inviting space to unwind after a day of exploring.

The Perfect North Yorkshire Location

Ideally situated on the edge of Ampleforth and the stunning North York Moors, the lodges offer a peaceful rural setting while remaining within easy reach of some of North Yorkshire’s most popular destinations.

The picturesque market town of Helmsley is just 10 minutes away, while Thirsk can be reached in around 20 minutes and the historic city of York is approximately 40 minutes away.

With the North York Moors on your doorstep and a wealth of attractions, walks, outdoor adventures, historic towns, country houses, restaurants and local activities nearby, the lodges provide the perfect base for discovering everything North Yorkshire has to offer—while giving you a luxurious place to return to at the end of the day.

- All of the lodges share the same layout and design, the only difference is some subtle variations in interior styling and the location on the site.

- All lodges sleep up to 6 adults + 2 children up to the age of 12 on either a camp bed (at an additional charge) or we have cots available (free of charge).

- Check in is from 2:30pm onwards

- Checkout is 10am

  • 3 ensuite Super King bedrooms (x2 Walk-in Shower ensuites & x1 Shower over bath ensuite) (Can be made up as either one super king bed for two adults or two twin beds)

  • 1 Electric car charging facility at Reception (7.4KW) that runs from the Monta Charge app. The charging facility operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is available for use from the reception building. 

Pricing Structure

- Calendar = Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

- Booking in Advance = Guests can book up to 1 year, 4 months and 12 days in advance of the arrival date.

- Arrival Days = Any day of the week — there are no fixed or set arrival/departure days.

Rate Plans

One Bedroom Lodge Rate (Prices start from £275 per night)

- Based on 2 guests sharing 1 Lodge with the use of 1 Bedroom

- 3/4 Nights only

- Monday to Friday only and not available in the high season rate bracket

(Use of full lodge, 1 ensuite bedroom and outdoor space, 2 Bedrooms will be locked)

 

Two Bedroom Lodge Rate (Prices start from £375 per night)

- Based on 4 guests sharing 1 Lodge with the use of 2 Bedrooms

- 3/4 Nights only

- Monday to Friday only and not available in the high season rate bracket

(Use of full lodge, 2 ensuite bedrooms and outdoor space, 1 Bedroom will be locked)

 

Three Bedroom Lodge (Prices start from £475 per night)

- Based on up to 6 guests sharing 1 full lodge

(Available Monday to Sunday)

 

High Season Rates

- July, August, Christmas, New Year, School Holidays & Bank Holidays fall in our high season band bracket.

 

Christmas and NYE

Bookings for the two-week period starting from the Monday of Christmas week (covering both Christmas and New Year) cannot be made online. These dates are always closed for online reservations and are available only on a first-come, first-served basis or via the waitlist system. To enquire, please email info@studfordluxurylodges.com.

Please note: Christmas and New Year’s Eve are high peak season dates, and pricing will vary accordingly.

 

Additional Charges

To help you plan your stay, please note the following additional charges to your booking:

- Dog Charge £35 (per dog)
Maximum of 2 dogs per lodge. Dog-friendly lodges: Lodges 3, 4 & 5.

- Camp Bed £75 (per camp bed)

Up to 2 camp beds per lodge, suitable for children aged 12 and under.

- Cot 

Bookable upon request. Free of charge​

- High Chair

Bookable upon request. Free of charge

Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy

Payment

  • A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking if your arrival date is more than 6 weeks away.

  • The remaining balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.

  • Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

  • If the balance is not received by the due date, the booking will be automatically cancelled and the deposit retained.

Accepted payment methods:

  • BACS (bank transfer)

  • Card payment over the phone via Studford reception

  • Paypal

Cancellations

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. Phone cancellations will not be accepted.

  • Free cancellation (including a full deposit refund) is available if cancelled at least 3 months before arrival.

  • Cancellations made within 3 months of arrival will result in the loss of the 25% deposit.

  • Cancellations made within 6 weeks of arrival are non-refundable and the full booking fee will be charged.

  • Christmas and New Year bookings are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Booking Date Changes

  • One date change is permitted per booking.

  • If the date change request is made more than 6 weeks before arrival, the booking can be moved to any date within the same calendar year. Rates will be adjusted according to the new season’s pricing.

  • If the request is made within 6 weeks of arrival, the full balance must still be paid and the new date must also fall within the same calendar year. However, no price adjustments will be made if the new date falls into a lower season.
